Well it seems kind of sad, we don't find the time to blog any more. I guess me and Sarah will have to keep this family blog going.
We just got hit early in the week with another blast of winter. Our favorite ski resort has 126 inches of snow. Sarah told Grandpa her dad had a blast skiing Sunday, it was a blue bird day and lots of powder. We have about 6 to 8 inches of snow and as I was out side this morning messing around, I discovered I could walk on top of the snow and seldom fell through. It was kind of fun, like being a kid again. I told Tom to bad we don't have some snow shoes we could go to the the back of the field. He just grumped at me like "yeah right!" Well I know I could walk back there. He is nursing a head cold, and all he can do is whine and groan.
The weather is beautiful today and the weather people on TV say it is going to be good all weekend. So I guess we should try to get out and enjoy and get rid of some of the cabin fever. Natalie was saying today that the snow was so heavy at their house it has broken a lot of their trees down. She said it broke a branch off the walnut tree, and spilt one of their oak trees. Of course they have about 20" there. Mark said the day it snowed so much you could hear the branch crack and break.
Let me see what else is new for you out of towners. The Jazz beat the Lakers, Yea!! and tonight they play the Celtic's. Like many old people around here I am a big Jazz fan. This is when I really miss work, because we always had a big discussion about the Jazz game the day after. We always talked about who we thought they should trade, and who they should try to get. I don't get that fix any more, and that is my fault because I never go back to visit with them .
Well another month and it will be spring, and we can look forward to gardening, and warm weather. April is usually the month when you get a little warm weather, then it turns off cold and wet again. It is a tease, just enough to give you a good dose of spring fever.
