Napping with her stuffed GorillaWell all our grandkids are gradually moving away. Blaike is still in the area, but when he gets married he may find reasons to leave as well. Sarah and Kelly left for Portland on Friday and I sure do miss little Annie. She was G/grandma's girl, we were buddies. Ryan and Meg have been in Europe most of the summer, but they are back in Durham now. , and of course Kelly and his Sarah have made their little niche in Idaho. But we have a puppy, and are sometimes pleading insanity, but we love her. Today we went for a ride up Ogden Canyon, I questioned that choice because the puppy has not been in the car that often. Of course with the twisting winding road she got sick and threw up in the car. Tom felt bad but he didn't have to clean it up, so he didn't feel that bad. I am sure it will be a challenge the next time we try to take her. She is a very smart puppy and doesn't forget things. We have big stuffed gorilla that Mack (our old dog) hated. We could just put that gorilla any place we didn't want him to go and it was off limits as far as he was concerned. Not this puppy, it is hairy like her and she loves to wrestle with it and curls up by it to take a nap. It is a site to see, you can hardly tell her from the Gorilla. Puppies are a lot of work but they provide a lot of companionship for us old people, who are watching all our young birds take off on their own wings.
